Telecourse Rentals

The library coordinates a telecourse tape rental program that provides "on loan" telecourse tape sets to currently enrolled telecourse students for a specified period of time. Enrolled students must pay a rental and security deposit fee at the College Cashier's Office and present a valid receipt to the library at the time of telecourse tape rental.

A multi-carbon rental agreement will be signed by each enrolled student for each telecourse videotape/DVD set prior to rental. A copy of the rental agreement will be provided to each student upon rental.

In order to receive your $25.00 security deposit refund voucher, you must return all rental materials to the library no later than the end of the first week of classes the following semester/session. Vouchers are redeemable at the College Cashier’s Office.

If you do not return rental materials and/or do not pay library fees, your library privileges will be suspended, your college grades and transcripts will be frozen and you will be unable to register for classes

Telecourse related vouchers are treated as cash and are redeemable for cash at the College Cashier’s office within six months. Duplicate vouchers are not issued. Students reporting lost vouchers will forfeit their telecourse deposit.

Library availability, use and distribution of telecourse videos//DVD’s is based upon the College's Off-Satellite Taping License (see ALS Guide to Telecourses and TeleWEBcourses, "Licensing Arrangements" section, following this section.

The telecourse rental program and licensing agreement do not allow enrolled students to:

· Purchase rented telecourse tapes/DVD’s from the library by voluntary forfeiture of the rental security deposit or by any other means;
· To distribute rented videotapes/DVD’s to a third party for viewing or copying by the third party; or
· To retain rented videotapes/DVD’s beyond the semester rental due date.
