To provide fair and timely access to library materials, the Mission College Library will recall renewed materials when requested by another primary library user. Only borrowers who have renewed an item beyond its initial checkout loan end date will be requested to return recalled items to the library before the renewal due date. Library material that has been renewed one or more times may be recalled at any time on behalf of another user who has requested the item. Although borrowers are guaranteed the full borrowing period allowed for any initial checkout, the academic community greatly appreciates the recall policy which is based upon the mutual respect and cooperation of all library users.
Due to confidentiality laws, Library staff will not reveal either the identity of any person requesting an item recall, nor of any current borrower.
