Page history last edited by Tim Karas 1 yr ago
Library Room 256 is an instruction room intended for library courses, ad hoc orientations and workshops for students and faculty. As such, library classes, orientations and workshops have priority over all other activities.

To ensure minimum disruption to library users in the read room, Room 256 is available for staff development training and online course orientation use only as a last resort when no other appropriate rooms are available, and must meet the following criteria:

  1. The activity must require the use of computer workstations, administrative network connection and/or overhead computer/media projection.

  1. The request must be submitted no later than one week before the scheduled activity.

  1. A scheduled activity is subject to cancellation if it conflicts with a faculty request for class orientation when the latter cannot be scheduled at any other time. If a cancellation is necessary, the requester will be notified no later than 48 hours before the scheduled date.

  1. The instructor takes full responsibility for setting up the room/equipment and restoring it to the original condition upon completion of the activity.

  1. Participants observe all library use policies while in the library, including no food, drink (except beverages in covered containers), loud conversation or cell phone/pager use.

  1. Exceptions may be granted only by the Library Director.
